Despite it being a fairly early side-quest, it can actually end up being one of the more frustrating ones, as a man called Kichi wants to see a fully completed Pokedex entry for Cherrim. You’ll likely go out of your way to manage this, but once this request is done, you’ll get a small reward and that wonderful dopamine hit of never having to do it again. On this page: To kick off To Bloom or Not to Bloom, you’ll need to grab the request from the blackboard in Professor Laventons office. From here, you’ll need to go outside and to your right to the farmland area to talk to Kichi. He’ll then ask you to show him the completed Pokedex entry for Cherrim. While this request does seem simple enough, the cold harsh reality is that Cherrim are actually somewhat elusive. If you want to try and catch a Cherrim direct, here’s a list of Cherrim locations:
Obsidian Fieldlands - The Heartwood Crimson Mirelands - Gapejaw Bog Coronet Highlands - Lonely Spring, Fabled Spring, Primeval Grotto
But, we’d say grabbing yourself a couple of Cherubi is preferred. That said, even this is tricky! You see, these Pokémon can only be found by disturbing shaking berry trees you find littered throughout various areas. You can find Cherubi in shaking trees in the Heartwood area of Obsidian Fieldlands, Gapejaw Bog in the Crimson Mirelands, and then Lonely Spring, Fabled Spring, and Primeval Grotto in Coronet Highlands. If your aim is to get this one done early, then the Heartwood area of Obsidian Fieldlands is your best bet, as it is right next to the warp point you’ll have after defeating the first noble Pokémon, so that’s quite convenient. You can see the area on the map above, and we’ve also highlighted the exact spot were we managed to catch two in a row, which could well just be pure luck, but we thought we’d let you know. Throw your Pokémon of choice at the tree and you’ll hopefully be rewarded with a Cherubi. Very gently catch a couple of these and then level them up to level 25 before evolving them during the day. This is important, because the Pokedex tasks for Cherrim are tough to fulfill if you’re not actually able to find the monster itself. Once you’ve done this, you should already have a few research tasks completed for Cherrim. Now just go around and beat up some weak monsters using an agile style move, we recommend Absorb on Bidoof, and you should be able to finish the entry. Our Pokémon Legends Arceus walkthrough will help you pick a starter Pokémon and win the Kleavor boss fight. You’re also tasked with filling the Hisui Pokédex by obtaining new evolutions like Kleavor by evolving Scyther, Wyrdeer by evolving Stantler, Sneasler by evolving Hisui Sneasel and Overquil by evolving Hisui Qwilfish. There’s a host of new evolution methods, including ones for the Eevee evolutions. Take the time to complete Requests too, such as The Sea’s Legend, Wurmple’s Evolved! and finding the Wisp locations. Don’t forget to track down every Unown location too. You’ll then walk away with 3 Vivichokes. This item can be used to craft Revives, Hyper Potions, and Superb Remedies. Congratulations, you never have to look at this berry Pokémon again. Here’s how to complete other requests in Arceus:
