You’ll find Vyv standing in the look out area below the parking lot in Lestallum - he looks like a cross between Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons and Hurley from Lost - and he’s willing to pay some very good money for some photographs of places of interest. Recommended level: 8 How to unlock: Complete the Tour with Iris in Chapter 3 Reward: 1000 EXP, 5000 Gil Talk to Vyv to be given your first assignment, a couple of pictures of the Disc of Cauthess. Drive to the first location, have Prompto take a picture, and then drive to the second to snap another; as with all of his quests you need to take the photos during daylight hours (about 4:30AM to 7:30PM). Head back to him to hand in the shots and collect your reward. An Eye for Islands Recommended level: 10 How to unlock: Complete ‘The Perfect Landscape’ Reward: 1500 EXP, 7500 Gil His second task is to take a picture of Angelard, the island off the south east coast. Once he’s given you the details head to the dock at Galdin Quay (where Dino is located) and take the shot, then head back to Vyv. Aftermath of the Astral War Recommended level: 12 How to unlock: Complete ‘An Eye for Islands’ Reward: 2000 EXP, 10,000 Gil This time he’s after two pictures of Taelpar Crag. The position for the first shot is near an Imperial base so watch out for potential ambushes, grab the second shot from on the bridge, then return to Vyv. Of Gods and Kings Recommended level: 14 How to unlock: Complete ‘Aftermath of the Astral War’ Reward: 2500 EXP, 12,500 Gil Vyv now wants two photos of the tomb in the Fallgrove. Both photo locations are close together, but you may need to eliminate some wildlife before you can get the camera out. Vyv’s Volcanic Inspiration Recommended level: 20 How to unlock: Complete ‘Of Gods and Kings’ Reward: 3000 EXP, 15,000 Gil This job is a bit more dangerous than the previous ones. Head for the Rock of Ravatogh (see our dungeons guide for more information), but at the fork where you’d normally head left, instead take the right up the red hot rocks. They’ll inflict damage on you as you ascend so don’t hang about, and avoid any fights that crop up when possible. When you reach the top snap a picture of the cave, and then get out of there before you burst into flames. A Place to Call Home Recommended level: 22 How to unlock: Complete ‘Vyv’s Volcanic Inspiration’ Reward: 3500 EXP, 17,500 Gil The photo spot for this one is right back at the location that Chapter 1 came to a close. As with your first foray into the buildings there will be some Imperial resistance on the way, but once you’ve got the shot head back to Lestallum. The Pen is Mightier than the Sword Recommended level: 25 How to unlock: Complete ‘A Place to Call Home’ Reward: 4000 EXP, 20,000 Gil Three locations to photograph this time, but unlike previous outings you can do these in any order - three sub-quests will be added to your log marking the locations, and because of their proximity to Imperial bases you can expect ambushes when you get close to each. Leide Imperial Base: This photo is taken from the dirt road leading to the southern corner of the base. Duscae Imperial Base: This photo is taken from the bridge on the south side of the base. Cleigne Imperial Base: Taken from the road the passes to the north of the base. Need more help? Our Final Fantasy 15 guide and walkthrough can provide tips on main story, as well as the open-world’s many quests and activities. Learning how to get AP fast, EXP fast and money or Gil fast will aid you in many optional dungeons and tombs - including how to open and explore their locked doors. There’s also plenty of interesting side-quests, too, such as the Scraps of Mystery and Professors Protege frog locations. And if you want to get around easier, you can rent a Chocobo, learn the infinite sprint trick and later in the game, get the flying car Regalia Type F. There’s also more to see and do with DLC, such as Episode Gladiolus and Episode Prompto. The Cursed Canvas Recommended level: 30 How to unlock: Complete ‘The Pen is Mightier Than The Sword’ Reward: 5000 EXP, 25,000 Gil You can either do this when you visit Altissia during the story, or you can return afterwards by calling Umbra at a rest spot. Either way, take a gondola ride to the floating bar, talk to the barman to mark the location on the map, and then engage the ‘A Lost Painting’ hunt. Take a gondola ride to the Ministerial Quarters Station, head down into the basement, and defeat the Chadamook - she’s resistant to all physical weapons, and weak to fire and Royal weapons. Head back to Vyv to draw your relationship with him to a close.
