The Street Cred level you need for each rarity level of Mantis Blades are:
Rare - Level 20 Epic - Level 25 Legendary - Level 45
Other than the price, the differences between the rarity levels for Mantis Blades are which mods you can apply to them. Rare Mantis Blades allow you to apply Mantis Blade Edge Mods, Epic Mantis Blade mods allow you to apply two mods - an Edge mod and a Mantis Blade Rotor mod. Finally, the legendary level Mantis Blades have a third mod slot, which can hold any Mantis Blade mod. The 1.5 update patch notes are here! There are 14 Ripperdocs scattered across Night City and each one will offer to sell you a set of Mantis Blades, with the price depending on the rarity of the blades, which will also differ from Ripperdoc to Ripperdoc. It’s important to note that not all Ripperdoc sell Mantis Blades, so, if you want a pair, make sure you visit the right Ripperdoc. Below you find a list of all the Ripperdocs in Night City, along with the price and rarity of the Mantis Blades they offer: 1 - If you want to purchase Mantis Blades from Viktor, then you need to complete Paid In Full. 2 - If you harm Fingers during the main mission, The Space In Between, you’ll be unable to use his Ripperdoc services. To find these legendary blades you need to head to the Night City Center for Behavioral Health, which can be easily found in the Corpo Plaza. To reach it quickly you can fast travel to Halsey & Mlk and then walk to the road junction directly east of this fast travel spot. Once you’re there, walk around the left-hand side of the main entrance of the Behavioral Health Center and you’ll see a doorway with yellow bars. If this is your first time visiting this area you’ll receive a call from Regina Jones to tell you about a Tiger Claw member succumbing to cyberpsychosis, which will unlock Cyberpsycho Sighting: Phantom of Night City. Norio Akuhara can be a difficult enemy to fight, especially if you’re low levelled, but you don’t have to fight him to grab these Mantis Blades. When you first arrive in this small area, Akuhara will be distracted by another enemy, giving you the time to run to the right-hand side of the alley, where, near a dead body, you’ll find a box of items. Quickly loot this box and then run out of this area - you’ll now be the proud owner of a pair of legendary Mantis Blades. Now all you have to do is visit any Ripperdoc in Night City and they’ll install the blades for free. The Mantis Blade Edge, however, changes the type of damage dealt by your blades. There are four different types of damage that the Mantis Blades can deal - physical, thermal, chemical and electrical. These mods can be purchased from the various Ripperdocs scattered across Night City, though the stock available will depend on the Ripperdoc you’re visiting, and you can also find the mods by looting either the bodies of your enemies or boxes. You can also craft your own Mantis Blades mods if you know the specs, which can also be purchased from Ripperdocs, and have the right components. Have fun slicing people up with your Mantis Blades in Cyberpunk 2077!
