As you pummel through Night City you’ll find lots of Cyberpunk 2077 armor from chests and enemies, which will protect you for the time being but might feel underwhelming. That’s why we’ve searched for the best legendary clothing you can find for free across the map - there’s bound to be something for everyone. Before we begin, keep in mind that your Technical Ability level increases your armor by 5% with each level (up to 20), which is a nice bonus to have. Please note: stats and rarity can differ depending on your current level when you pick up clothing, as well as the quantity of mod slots. But, it’s possible to reroll these by saving the game before picking it up and loading it until you’re happy with the result. On this page: For more Cyberpunk 2077 system explainers, we have pages on the best Cyberpunk 2077 weapons, XP and levelling and money making. But if you really want to (quite literally) take them to the next level, you can actually upgrade them in the Crafting menu. For this, similarly to weapons, we recommend investing points into Technical Ability and unlock abilities in the Crafting skill tree. Always keep an eye on the requirements - for example, you will only be able to craft Legendary blueprints once you’re at level 18, unlocking the Edgerunner Artisan ability. If you happen to be low on crafting resources, check your local vendor for them - these are usually fairly cheap. Rarity: Legendary Location: Watson, Kabuki How to get it: From the Bellevue Overwalk fast travel checkpoint in Kabuki, Watson, head over to the stairs that are left to them. Go upwards and you’ll see a body in the farther end of the corridor with an orange icon on top. Loot it to grab the Duolayer Polyamide Rocker Vest, as well as the Mírame Reinforced-composite Cowboy Hat. Heavy-Duty Aramid-Reinforced Badge Coat Rarity: Legendary Location: Santo Domingo, Rancho Coronado How to get it: If you happen to have the Almunecar and Jerez fast travel checkpoint, head there and then look for a police truck outside a house. If you’re going on foot, then look for the main highway that intersects Rancho Coronado - at one point, close to the southern end of the district, you’ll see lots of intertwined roads with each other, with one of them having five routes spreading from it. Use that as reference and head all the way east towards the little houses on the second block. You can grab two pairs of the Heavy-Duty Aramid-Reinforced Badge Coat from the police officers. Duolayer Microplate-Mesh Nomad Jacket Rarity: Legendary Location: South of Night City in the desert How to get it: Take the main road that comes from Santo Domingo and head all the way to the southwestern end of the map. As you’re approaching the last road that leads towards the populated area, make sure to zoom to notice a small rectangle on an open field - that’s where you’re gonna want to head towards. In there you’ll see an abandoned house, but right next to it there’s an opened trap door that leads to an underground shelter. Keep in mind that you will need to have at least level 13 in your Body stat to open the door. As well as other items, you can grab the Duolayer Microplate-Mesh Nomad Jacket from a suitcase on the ground. Replica of Johnny’s Samurai Jacket Rarity: Rare/Iconic Location: Obtained during the Chippin’ In mission How to get it: During the second part of Chippin’ In (this is one of Johnny Silverhand’s missions), wait for Rogue to call you and meet her at the Afterlife and head outside. She will mention a gift for V, and after opening the truck, you’ll see the lustrous Samurai jacket. This is the Replica of Johnny’s Samurai Jacket. Rarity: Legendary Location: South of Night City in the desert How to get it: Heading all the way south outside Night City, taking either the Tango Tors Motel or Autowerks’ fast travel checkpoint as reference, follow that road all the way down until you come across an intersection. Turn right (heading to the west side if you’re looking at the map) and around half way through head south until you find a van (it’s right on the same distance as the rocks you’ll see on the minimap above the road). Loot the body to grab the Polycarbonate Nomad Shirt with Reinforced Seams. Keep in mind that you must be at least level 20 to equip it. Johnny’s Tank Top Rarity: Rare/Iconic Location: Obtained during the Tapeworm mission How to get it: Following the main story, after Search and Destroy (this is one of Johnny Silverhand’s missions) you will end up in a motel. Just follow the conversations with Johnny and Johnny’s Tank Top will appear in your inventory after you’ve exited by the window. Rarity: Legendary Location: Santo Domingo, Rancho Coronado How to get it: This location is a bit tricky, but there’s a few pointers you can use as reference. In Rancho Coronado you’ll see three stores that are close to each other, forming a triangle: a clothing shop on the left, a medpoint on top, and a food joint at the bottom. From the clothing shop, take that road all the way south on a straight line for a bit over two blocks. If you look at the map you’ll see a blank rectangle right before a square-shaped blank space. You’re gonna want to drop and head just below the broken bridge. In there you’ll see a woman just before the store against the wall (there’s a blue van close as well). Loot the body to grab the Scratch-Resistant Polarized Rocker Aviators, as well as a Scav Plastic Windbreaker and other items. Keep in mind the aviators have a level 18 requirement. Armored Media Ocuset with Camera Rarity: Legendary Location: South of Night City in the desert How to get it: Take the main road that comes from Santo Domingo and head all the way to the southwestern end of the map. As you’re approaching the last road that leads towards the populated area, make sure to zoom to notice a thinner road on the right - there’s a small triangle with another road that is broken into two. Taking that triangle-shaped intersection, head slightly north and you’ll notice a broken highway. Go towards the location, get inside the house and grab the Armored Media Ocuset with Camera from a chest right next to the door. Media Baseball Cap with Reactive Layer Rarity: Legendary Location: South of Night City in the desert How to get it: This is close to the Armored Media Ocuset with Camera location. Take the main road that comes from Santo Domingo and head all the way to the southwestern end of the map. As you’re approaching the last road that leads towards the populated area, make sure to zoom to notice a group of houses that are almost in between of the gap between the two roads. Take the road that leads there, get past the gas station and then you’ll see an open field. Go around it and you’re gonna want to climb the tower. Once on the top, you can grab the Media Baseball Cap with Reactive Layer hat. Johnny’s Aviators Rarity: Rare/Iconic Location: Obtained during the Chippin’ In mission How to get it: After Tapeworm, Chippin’ In will become available as part of Johnny Silverhand’s end game missions. Just follow the story V wakes up the next day. Such as the Tank Top, Johnny’s Aviators will automatically be added to your inventory. Rarity: Legendary Location: City Center, Downtown How to get it: If you look at the map, just in the middle of Downtown you’ll see a large road that leads to Little China. Follow it until you see the river, and turn left towards a long corridor at the side of a building. You’ll see a locked door in the distance - this can be opened if your Body stat is at level 12, but if not don’t fret, just jump down to the right and you’ll be able to climb back up to the other side. Once up there, loot the woman next to the crates to find the Puncture-Resistant Rocker Ankle Boots. Keep in mind that you’ll need to be at least level 30 to equip them. Anti-Puncture Neotac Pants with Composite Lining Rarity: Legendary Location: Watson, Little China How to get it: If you follow the main road that comes from Downtown up north, about halfway through you’ll see two drop points on each side on the map - that would be the reference for where to drop off. If you’re on the highway head all the way down to ground level and head west by sticking to the street on the right. At one point you are gonna come across arrow-shaped neon signs - follow them to grab the Anti-puncture Neotac Pants with Composite Lining from an officer next to the door. Durable Bioleather Nomad Western Boots Rarity: Legendary Location: East of Night City in the Badlands How to get it: If you take the long road that comes from Rancho Coronado all the way east, at one point you will start seeing dozens of small icons on the right side of the map. Just before you head towards that area, take a detour through that other long road that goes south instead. You will see three opportunities to take a detour to the right, ignore all of them and head to the bottom of the triangle-shaped intersection. Once you arrive you will notice a gas station. Just behind it there’s an opened trap door that leads to an underground shelter. You’ll find the Durable Bioleather Nomad Western Boots inside from one of the bodies. Johnny’s Pants Rarity: Rare/Iconic Location: The Glen, Heywood How to get it: For this you’ll need to complete the Gig called Psycho Fan, located in The Glen, Heywood. If it doesn’t appear automatically like it happened to us, do a couple quick activities around the districts - we recommend NCPD missions as they’re rather straightforward. You will receive a call from Sebastian “Padre” Ibarra telling you about it when it becomes available. For reference, we were at XP level 21 and with 29 Street Cred. Head all the way to the rooftop, let yourself fall and go inside. Before doing anything take the stairs on your right, enter the room and loot the suitcase on the left side of the bed (it was marked with a goal sign for us, despite not being the objective). There you’ll find the Johnny’s Pants, which require level 33 to use them. The 1.5 update patch notes are here! New additions include how to change your appearance in Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk 2077 apartment locations. Elsewhere, we have explains on Cyberpunk 2077 life paths, money making, XP levelling, best Cyberpunk 2077 armour and clothing, best Cyberpunk 2077 weapons, romance options, Cyberpunk 2077 endings and how long to beat Cyberpunk 2077. Johnny’s Shoes Rarity: Rare/Iconic Location: Charter Hill, Westbrook How to get it: For this you’ll need to complete the Gig called Family Heirloom, located in Charter Hill, Westbrook. Same as Psycho Fan - if it doesn’t happen automatically, make sure to complete a couple activities around the district. It’s worth noting that the gig didn’t unlock for us until we hit 35 Street Cred. This is more straightforward than the former. Take down all the enemies in the parking lot and head inside the office. Inside the same locker as the shard you’ll find Johnny’s Boots. For more Cyberpunk 2077 system explainers, we have pages on XP and levelling and money making.
