Word of new paid campaign DLC for Modern Warfare 2 was initially shared by Call of Duty leaker TheGhostofHope, who claimed it would arrive in the game’s second year (ie. 2023) and would be bundled with a 20th anniversary “greatest hits map pack” containing classic maps from the original 2009 Modern Warfare 2, as well as maps from across the series. Following TheGhostofHope’s campaign DLC claims, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier stepped in to corroborate the news....

Alan Wake, for the uninitiated, debuted on Xbox 360 back in 2010, and its small-town horror, in which the titular novelist battles supernatural forces armed with little more than a flashlight and an endless urge to monologue, quickly gained cult classic status. But while all was quiet on the Alan front for over a decade, he’s had something of a resurgence in recent times. Alongside a prominent role in Remedy’s acclaimed Control - specifically in its second DLC, known as AWE - Alan Wake was given the remaster treatment in 2021 (a release now confirmed for Switch) and will be getting a long-awaited sequel some time next year....

Wyoming is the eighth state to be added to American Truck Simulator since its launch in 2016 - following developer SCS’ increasingly lavish recreations of Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, and Colorado - and opens up myriad new routes for long-distance haulers and landscape fetishists to enjoy. Wyoming will link up American Truck Simulator’s previous Colorado, Idaho, and Utah expansions for more convenient cross-country trucking, just leaving a Montana-shaped gap at the very top of the game’s map....

Not only are they a bonus source of weapons and other equipment, but finding Treasure Chest locations is required to advance in the Anthem walkthrough - so learning how they work is important to progress past the game’s story bottleneck. Codenamed Rift (though likely not its final title), this is the Baghdad-focused project which originally began life as a Valhalla expansion. Earlier this week, Ubisoft confirmed it would be ‘unveiling the future’ of the Assassin’s Creed franchise during this Saturday’s digital showcase, but stopped short of providing specifics. A look at the recently recently confirmed Assassin’s Creed Mirage seemed a certainty, but a new report has suggested the publisher might in fact have a lot more its ready to share. According to relentlessly leaky (and usually reliable) journalist Tom Henderson, writing for Try Hard Guides, Ubisoft Forward’s Assassin’s Creed portion will indeed begin with a “deep dive” into Assassin’s Creed Mirage....

Before that, though, there’s the probably not insignificant matter of Valhalla’s 1.5.0 update, which arrives on Tuesday, 22nd February. Ubisoft hasn’t talked about this one much, but it’ll pave the way for Dawn of Ragnarök in some capacity, with the thumbnail tease in the publisher’s newly released roadmap infographic suggesting it may even bring lava to the current map as a bit of a mythological tease. Whatever 1.5.0 ultimately brings, we can speak of the next big event on Valhalla’s calendar in a little more detail, with Ubisoft confirming its aforementioned free trial weekend will run from Thursday, 24th to Monday, 28th February....

The deal marks an increased investment in the German developer, representing the publisher’s move to create a significant proportion of its business outside of Japan. Park Beyond will be Limbic’s highest profile release so far: a theme park game where players can create bizarre attractions using the “impossification” gimmick.
